Behind the Lotus Necklace fine silver and dichroic art glass
Dichroic glass blue shapes dance in the black art glass, peeking through the fine silver lotus leaves. Your inner child wants to run free. Come out, come out wherever you are!
I’m really proud of how well this piece turned out, so you’ll be proud to wear it. The leaves caress the glass in such an elegant fashion, letting the beauty of the glass take centre stage. The necklace is made with onyx beads, sterling silver and authentic Swarovski crystals. Finished with an easy to put on sterling silver box clasp adorned with an onyx gem.
Did you know that if you find that your skin reacts to silver jewelry, it is not likely the silver that causes it? Commercial sterling silver is 92.6% silver and the rest could be anything. Fine silver is 99.999% pure silver to which most people have nothing but good reactions! I created the pure silver from precious metal clay then fired the pendant overnight in a kiln. See the photo of this pendant in the greenware state.
In this piece, the tiny spacers in the necklace and the clasp were all made by hand by artisans of Bali and the Karen Hill tribe of Thailand, respectively.
So you can support three artists, not counting Mother Nature, and have a piece of all of our hearts.
